**The child's birthdate will determine which age group they fall under. No players are permitted to play down an age group.
2025-2026 Youth Basketball Registration - Closed!!
- Registration will open on August 8th and run until September 30th!
- Fee is $150 per player. This includes the uniform jersey and shorts.
- Youth Recreation Basketball is open to K - 8th graders.
- Evaluations dates TBA - these will be sent by Athletic staff after registration closes.
- Kindergarten & first grade divisions will not have evaluations. Children will be placed onto teams by an athletic staff.
- Practices are planned to begin the week of October 27th,
- You will hear directly from your child's coach about when their specific practice time & day will start.
- Community centers and local elementary schools will host practices until games begin, then all practices will be assigned to schools only.
- Games are set to begin the week prior to Thanksgiving Break and will take place at one of the following facilities:
- East Hall Community Center
- Mulberry Creek Community Center
- North Hall Community Center
- We will break for games from 11/24/25-11/30/25 and from 12/21/25-1/2/26.
- Games are subject to be played on 11/22/25, 12/20/25, and 1/3/26.
AGE CONTROL DATE INFORMATION
Players will participate within the age control date of September 1, 2025. Whatever age a player is on that date will determine their age group.
Kindergarten through 8th Grade will be based on the following age control dates:
K - 1st Grade = 9/2/2018 – 9/1/2020
2nd -3rd Grade = 9/2/2016 – 9/1/2018
4th - 5th Grade = 9/2/2014 – 9/1/2016
6th - 8th Grade = 9/2/2011 – 9/1/2014

Mission Statement
It is the goal of the HCPL Athletics to provide a league that allows the youth of our county to have fun and learn life skills through organized athletic activities. This is aimed at ensuring an equal and fun atmosphere that offers a positive learning experience for all that are involved. It is important that the fundamentals of the game are taught in a way that allows for participants to learn and develop in a positive setting.
